Getting the pictures out of a TikTok slideshow

Photo posts on TikTok, the ones you swipe through like a carousel, are great for recipes, outfit ideas, travel tips and step-by-step guides. The trouble is that TikTok's Save button turns the whole thing into a video, so you end up with a slideshow clip instead of the pictures themselves. Screenshots aren't much better: you lose quality and get the app's buttons in the shot.

DropTik grabs the actual image files from the post. Paste the link and you'll see every picture in the slideshow as a separate card. Save the ones you want individually, or download them all as a ZIP so they stay in order. If the slideshow has music, the sound is listed separately, so you can keep that too or use the MP3 tool for audio only.

This only works with photo posts. If the link opens a normal video, DropTik shows you the video options instead, the same ones you'd get from the main downloader.

How to download TikTok slideshow photos

The steps are the same as for videos, you just get pictures at the end:
1

Copy the photo post link

Open the slideshow in TikTok, tap Share, then Copy link. Photo post links usually contain /photo/ in the address.
2

Paste and tap Download

Tap Paste in the box above, then Download. DropTik loads every picture from the post.
3

Save the pictures

Tap Download under a picture to save it on its own, or tap Download ZIP to get all of them in one file.

What you get from a photo post

  • Every picture in the post: All the slides show up as separate images, not one video.
  • Full-size images: You get the image files TikTok serves for the post, not screenshots.
  • ZIP download: Save a whole slideshow in one go, with the pictures kept in order.
  • Slideshow music: When the post has a sound, it's listed below the pictures so you can save it too.
  • Several posts at once: Paste up to five photo or video links in the bulk downloader.

Where the photos end up

On Android, single images go to your Downloads folder and usually appear in your gallery app straight away. A ZIP file also lands in Downloads; open it in Files by Google (or any file manager) and choose Extract to get the pictures out. For more tips, read our guide to saving slideshow photos.

On iPhone, Safari saves single images to Files, under Downloads. Tap a picture, then tap Share and choose Save Image to put it in Photos. If you download the ZIP, tap it once in the Files app and iOS unpacks it into a folder; from there you can select the pictures and save them all to Photos together.

On a computer, everything goes to your Downloads folder. Double-click the ZIP to open it.

If the photos won't load

Check the link first. If you copied a link from a profile or the sound page, DropTik won't find any pictures. Go back to the slideshow itself, tap Share, then Copy link. On Android, the Android download guide shows where to find files on Samsung, Xiaomi and other phones.

Photo posts from private accounts can't be downloaded. If the post is public and still won't load, open it in a browser to make sure it hasn't been deleted, then try again in a minute.

The ZIP option bundles up to 20 pictures and around 50 MB at a time. For very large slideshows, save the remaining pictures one by one.

If the pictures load but nothing saves when you tap Download, you're likely inside an app's built-in browser. Switch to Safari or Chrome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I download TikTok photos without the watermark?

Yes. You get the picture files themselves, without the TikTok logo that the app adds when it turns a slideshow into a video.

Can I get the music from a photo slideshow?

Yes. If the post has a sound, DropTik lists the audio below the pictures. Tap Download MP3 audio to save it.

Do the photos keep their original quality?

They're the image files TikTok serves for that post, which is the best version publicly available. They're sharper than screenshots, but they can't be better than what the creator uploaded.

How do I open the ZIP on iPhone?

Open the Files app, go to Downloads and tap the ZIP. iOS creates a folder with the pictures inside. Select them and tap Share, then Save Images.

Can I download a profile picture with this tool?

No, this tool is for photo posts. It works with links that point to a slideshow, not to a user's profile.

Is it OK to repost someone's TikTok photos?

Only with permission. Saving them to look at later is one thing; posting them as your own isn't. Ask the creator and credit them.

Can I download a mix of photo posts and videos?

Yes. Paste each link here one at a time, or use the bulk downloader to add up to five links at once, whether they're videos or slideshows.

Can I download just one picture from a slideshow?

Yes. Each picture has its own Download button, so you can save only the slides you want.
