Privacy policy

DropTik doesn't require registration and never asks for your TikTok username or password.

When you paste a link and tap Download, your browser sends us the link along with standard technical details such as your IP address and browser type. We use them to find the files for that post and send the download options back to you. To fetch the files, the link is passed to the media processing service we use to run DropTik.

• To return the video, audio or photo files for the link you submitted.
• To protect the service from abuse, for example by limiting very fast automated requests.
• To find and fix errors when a type of link stops working.

We may keep short technical logs (such as the time, the link submitted and any error) for troubleshooting and security. We don't use them to build profiles of visitors and we don't sell them.

DropTik doesn't keep a library of the videos people download. When a video needs to be prepared before saving, temporary working files may be created on the processing service and are removed after the download is done.

We use your browser's local storage to remember your colour theme and whether you allowed analytics. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings; the tools keep working either way.

If you click Allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to collect usage statistics without your name or account, such as which pages and tools are used, to improve DropTik. That data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. If you don't click Allow, no analytics script is loaded.

DropTik doesn't show ads right now. If we add advertising in the future, we'll update this policy before it goes live and explain what the ad partners collect.

DropTik runs on Cloudflare, and all connections use HTTPS. Cloudflare may process technical request data to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

Because there are no accounts, we usually don't hold information that identifies you by name. If you have questions about your data or want to make a privacy request, email contact@droptik.app. We may update this policy as DropTik changes; the latest version is always on this page.
